This historic railroad car is being converted into an ice cream stand. Be sure to check it out during your visit. For many decades this site served as a busy railroad corridor that was important in the history and development of commerce in East Boston. The Blue Caboose is a relic left over from these days, donated by Conrail. Opening Spring 2025!

Navigating the trail in this area:
In order to continue on to Constitution Beach from Bremen Street park along the Greenway, you have to cross Frankfort Street. If you are passing the library on your left, you’ll then go under the highway. When you emerge, you’ll be at the intersection of Martin A Coughlin bypass Road and Frankfort Street. You cross Martin A Coughlin bypass road first. Then you cross Frankfort Street. Voila! Now you are on the Greenway connector leading all the way to Constitution Beach!
